Alterface Projects has been selected to provide interactivity for two dark rides set to open in Six Flags theme parks next year.
The ‘Justice League: Battle For Metropolis’ rides feature superheroes from the DC universe such as Superman and Batman. Alterface will provide its interactive shooting system, 3D media, motion-based vehicles, lifelike animatronics and special effects as part of the project team. Alterface’s ‘Eagle Eye’ dark ride monitoring and auto-diagnostic tool will also be used.
The Belgium-based company was selected by project lead Sally Corporation, and the team will also include North Hollywood-based company Pure Imagination, which will provide 3D graphics, and Oceaneering, which will provide motion-based vehicles.
The Justice League rides are scheduled to open in 2015 at both Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags St. Louis.
