Belgian amusement park Bobbejaanland, near Antwerp, is introducing one of Gerstlauer’s new Eurofighter roller coasters for its 2004 season.
To be named Typhoon by its new owners, the 670m, 80km/h ride will feature eight eight-seat vehicles in which passengers face straight skywards as they are lifted to the summit.
Cars then descend a 97 degree vertical drop into a 19m diameter loop, before heading into a slow speed double corkscrew, a 15m drop, an upward double spiral and a second slow speed corkscrew, ahead of speeding through a spiral and two left curves into the station.
Construction of the new ride will be completed in time for the opening of the park’s new season in April.
