Italian luxury skin care range Gerard’s has created a new spa treatment, the Bamboo Massage.
The ritual offers stress relieving and smoothing results for women and men, using bamboo sticks, ancient massage techniques and a unique oil containing concentrated active bamboo extract.
To complement the treatment, Gerard’s has introduced two new products for spas and salons to retail to clients.
Bamboo Creamoil 250ml is a body cream for very dry skin. Incorporating Bamboo Bio-extract and Marine Collagen, it's designed to replenish the skin's natural moisture levels back, whilst restoring its elasticity and tone.
Bamboo Bath/Shower 250ml is a moisturising balm featuring Bamboo Bio extract enriched with sweet almond oil. It's a shower wash with a light tropical scent and ideal for dry, untoned skin lacking in elasticity.
Bamboo has played an important role in Oriental medicine and culture throughout the ages, it's roots and sap - said to possess strong antioxidant and antibacterial properties - having been used to treat ailments for thousands of years.
It also has a strong symbolic significance and is widely regarded as a symbol of youth, energy and luck.
