Specialist grass seed breeder Barenbrug has reformulated its RTF Turf mixture to further improve the product's performance.
The mixture now includes 20 per cent Barcesar, a brand new tufted tall fescue that provides all the benefits of a tall fescue but with outstanding shoot density and very fine leaf for the species.
The new cultivar also boasts excellent wear tolerance once established, while a mid-green colour ensures that Barcesar blends well with other species.
Barenbrug has also enhanced its lawns and landscaping mixture, BAR 10 RTF, with the inclusion of 20 percent Barcesar.
Though the mixture is ideally suited to landscaping applications, Barenbrug is seeing an increase in the number of sporting venues using BAR 10 RTF.
It’s proving particularly popular among rugby users, with rugby-playing school Newcastle Royal Grammar and Warrington Sports Club being two of the first customers to benefit from the new formulation.
