The hike brought together a crowd of global spa figures photo: ISPA/W3Spa/Canyon Ranch On 8 May, members of the spa community headed to the 2023 ISPA Conference and Expo in Las Vegas came together to take part in a pre-event charity hike.
Known as the SpasPushingLimits hike, the annual initiative was co-organised in aid of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by We Work Well founders Monica Helmstetter and Lucy Hugo, Deirdre Strunk – Canyon Ranch senior VP of wellness clubs and spa operations – and ISPA president Lynne McNees.
Each registration for the early morning hike through Red Rock Canyon required a minimum US$50 (€46, £40) donation to LLS.
Spa Business publisher Astrid Ros attended the event, saying: “The hike was a fantastic way to not only warm up for the 2023 ISPA Conference but also to connect with nature, catch up with some awesome spa people and help raise money for the LLS cause.”
Plans are already underway for the 2024 SpasPushingLimits hike – due to be hosted in Phoenix, Arizona – for next year’s ISPA Conference and Expo 2024.
