The Lightmaker Studio presented its new wall and ceiling designs for its Zig-Zag series at Toronto's Interior Design Show Lightmaker Studio launched two of its new designs at the Interior Design Show in Toronto.
The Toronto based company exhibited the new Mode Pendant and Float Chandelier fixture designs and also showcased the new Wall and Ceiling designs for its existing Zig-Zag series.
The Mode Pendant features blown glass spheres of various sizes laid out in a rhythmic pattern onto a single horizontal plane. The rhythmical movement of the orbs is juxtaposed against a lean and linear profile.
The Float series features a geometric grid balancing randomly placed glass orbs. The chandelier has the appearance of floating and the opulence of the materials used, hand-finished brass and hand-blown glass, is contrasted against the highly defined horizontal orientation of the chandelier.
The Zig-Zag has a geometric brass frame with white globes set at ninety degree angles. The Wall and Ceiling fixtures are designed to provide significant illumination in spaces with height limitations.
All three designs use classic forms, pure shapes and hand-finished brass and hand-blown glass to create modern pieces in keeping with the Lightmaker Studio’s design philosophy.
Lead designer Michael Stamler bases his designs on a foundation of rhythm and geometry to create pieces ranging from gestural and engaging to simple and bold.
The show took place between January 19th and 22nd and featured keynote speeches from renowned architect Sir David Adjaye OBE and real estate expert Scott McGillivray among others.

Our guiding principle is very simple – to make beautiful objects. All of our fixtures are designed and assembled at our Studio located in the Distillery District of Toronto. Established in 2014, we collaborate with designers on residential and commercial projects across North America.
We use rhythm and geometry to create complex pieces like our Branch Chandelier. We like to create the unexpected and much of our work has a strong gestural element. Web: http://www.lightmakerstudio.com/
