22 May 2003 Oxide launches new SlimFit stepper Leading equipment manufacturer, Oxide, has launched a new stepper designed to maximise weight loss.
The SlimFit Stepper has been designed around the popular existing Stepper model, with eight pre-set programmes and fitness tests. The stepper provides a traditional cardio-vascular workout, as well as toning of the lower body.
The SlimFit Stepper features an infrared light panel with groups of lights directed at three main muscle groups, the abdominals, the gluteus and the thighs. These lamps stimulate localised blood circulation, and so cause the body's metabolic rate to increase.
Oxide says that this process optimises the effectiveness of the stepper by as much as 50 per cent, meaning that up to 50 per cent more calories can be burned using the SlimFit stepper.
